All units with the * followed on the codes are mounted on standard KTA heat sink which use our standard mounting fixings for easy maintenance and upgrading or replacement with the following standard specifications.

The 1, 2, 3 and 4 amp 12 volt and 1 and 2 amp 24 volt units fit into our 300mm x 230mm x 90mm steel hinged boxes with mains indication, finished in white with blue screen print with room for a 6 amp 12 volt battery, or 2 x 2.1 amp 12 volt batteries provision for the 24 volt supplies.

The 5 to 10 amp 12 and 24 volt units are mounted on our interchangeable heat sink in 310mm x 310mm x 100mm steel boxes finished as above, with room for either 2x6 amp 12 volt batteries wired for 24 volt provision or 2 x 12 volt.

All these security power supplies have our own fault indication, which is clean relay contacts for remote alarm indication on mains failure, output fuse blown or both selective on board, also with an output for a low current drive for an audible sounder even with output fuse blown. All part of what makes KTA a leading UK manufacturer of security power supplies and components.

When a battery monitoring card is fitted the above relay contacts will also be utilised.

All the above failure conditions are also indicated by Led condition with remote output terminals.

All security power supplies have an onboard Power Relay option which is a 8 amp single pole clean contact changeover relay, of which the coil can be activated by the power supplies own voltage or an external source.

The output fault relay can also be activated from an external source or from its own voltage, without the need for power supply fault.

The main voltage output terminals have a normally closed pair of terminals, which can be used to shut off the output for releasing door locks in fire control conditions, either via a fire alarm interface relay or using the onboard power relay in either energised or fail safe conditions, without causing an output fault condition indication as this is a deliberate condition not a fault.

When a 12 Volt power supply is being used in conjunction with a 24 volt fire alarm system, the power relay can be supplied with a 24 volt coil relay on request.

All these power supplies are fully regulated to full specifications with short circuit protection and fully fused input and outputs. All supplies are complete with battery leads and full instructions and are CE marked. As well as our power supplies we can offer the following services:
